Morning, Cakies! Here’s a wedding theme you’ve never seen before: the butcher and the baker. Yep, being the food lovers they are, our friends at Amorology and Oak and the Owl went all out with this modern interpretation of the classic nursery rhyme, complete with this intriguing butcher block setup and lots of interesting foodie details throughout. Sure, many of you probably won’t be taking the meat theme so literally for your own weddings, but consider this your lesson on interpreting a concept with the utmost creativity. Heather of Amorology explains, Playing off our love for all things food, we created a concept inspired by the beloved nursery rhyme, ?the Butcher & the Baker and the Candlestick Maker.” We married the nursery rhyme, quite literally, with our groom as the butcher {James Butcher} and our bride as the baker and gave note to the sweetness of love and the magic that?s created when you mix together the perfect ingredients. Our color palette was made of neutrals of brown butcher paper, flour whites and steel gray and accented with bright pops of yellow to give a nod to the light + warmth of candles!
