Also, the beginning of the year can mean that many couples who are already engaged kick-start their wedding planning with only a few months to go before their big day. When I started this blog 7 years ago I was also a wedding planner. I have planned many, many weddings and with them all I carried this 12 month planner. It was my essential wedding planning bible.

Write up your guest list and decide on numbers
Work out your budget and find out if any family members will be able to contribute
Work out how you are going to spend your budget and work out what is important to the both of you and divide up the budget accordingly
