1950s Style Summer Fete Wedding

I have a real treat for you this morning in the form of WWW readers Scott and Rhianna’s summer fete wedding held on the 18th June 2016. They chose to hold their ceremony at Alton Registry Office for 36 guests followed by a good old fashioned knees up at Rotherwick Village Hall in Hampshire. The whole day was inspired by the 1950s, complete with a retro style prom dress and petticoat, fete games to entertain guests and home made decorations.
Lovely Liberty London print fabric was used to hand stitch the bridesmaids dresses and the quirky bow ties. Then there was afternoon tea to feed their nearest and dearest complete with vintage crockery and fresh blooms on the lovingly styled tables. Bunting and a naked Victoria sponge cake with a gluten free layer completed the feel, what a stunning day. Thanks so much to Mia Photography for sharing these wonderful photographs today.

THE PROPOSAL | For our second anniversary we had a weekend away at Ellenborough Park Hotel in Cheltenham. We had already picked my engagement ring a few weeks previously but Scott wanted to keep the proposal a surprise. As we were leaving the hotel we took one last walk around the grounds when he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I was beyond happy.
We chose my engagement ring from Classic Jewellery in Brighton. It is a platinum diamond cluster ring with an Edwardian mine cut diamond in the centre.
