5 Tips for Pulling Off the Mismatched Bridesmaids Look
More often than not, brides are choosing mismatched bridesmaids looks for their best gals to wear on the big day. For some, the process of actually dressing the bridesmaids and pulling this look together can be a little overwhelming. No one wants their girls to look like a random jumble of colors, but you still want their personalities to shine. With these tips, you can have it all: mismatched dresses that look cohesive with each other and the rest of your wedding design.
Tip One: Stick to one color in varying tones
Here’s a little color theory for you: tone refers to the lightness (tint) or darkness (shade) of a color. Once you’ve decided on a color for your bridesmaids to wear, let them choose dresses in a range of light to dark versions of that color. Let’s try a metaphor: think of these dresses as sisters, not twins. photo by LV IMAGERY; see more from this wedding here!

Tip Two: Choose different colors in the same tone
To achieve this look, select like-colors in the same level of brightness of hue. For instance, all of your girls dressed in pastels or all of your girls dressed in jewel tones. Think of these dresses as cousins from the same family.
