But weddings in spring?just like in any other season?aren’t without their hiccups. Spring weddings have unique challenges that you’ll have to think about before you book a venue or set a date.

1. The Unpredictable Weather

No matter where you live in the country, spring can be one of the most unpredictable weather seasons. One day may have icy rain, and the next may be scorching. In some areas of the country, you even have to contend with severe storms with tornadoes or hail. You may have dreamed of a lovely garden wedding in the spring sunshine?and you may be able to pull it off with some luck?but it’s always best to have an indoor backup plan just in case. If you book a venue with an outdoor component where you’ll be hosting the ceremony, be sure to ask the venue coordinator what you should do in case of inclement weather. If a venue doesn’t have a backup plan for when the weather gets iffy, then you may want to either schedule your wedding for the summer or fall or consider going with another venue that has an indoor ceremony space you can use.
