The summer is a fabulous time to get married as the weather is great, the scenery is beautiful, and everyone is always ready to enjoy themselves at this time of year. One thing that may have brides intimidated about a wedding in the thick of summer, however, is the heat. The high temperatures and humidity may scare brides off, causing them to think that maintaining a flawless bridal makeup look in those conditions is nearly impossible. Luckily, there are a number of measures you can take to keep your makeup intact and gorgeous, despite the summer heat.
1. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
Especially for a summer celebration, great hydration in the days leading up to your wedding is key. Drinking plenty of water will give your complexion a natural glow, which minimizes the need to wear heavy makeup at your wedding. In addition to hydrating well in the days leading up to your wedding, be sure to drink water on the actual day, too. It?s a busy day, so it can be easy to forget that you need to stay hydrated! 2. Skip the Moisturizer
Even though you likely have it ingrained that you need to apply moisturizer every day, on a hot summer day it can easily be skipped without repercussion. Especially if it?s humid, your skin will have enough moisture already and adding more will only make it easier for makeup to slide off. Instead, opt for an oil-free primer prior to makeup application. Something lightweight will set the stage well for your foundation.
