1. Spotting and Cramping
Spotting and cramping are some of the most early signs of pregnancy, but they can be easy to miss as they often accompany your normal menstrual cycle. The cramping and spotting happens as a result of the fertilized egg attaching itself to the uterus wall. Referred to as implantation bleeding, this most likely happens six to 12 days after fertilization. Both the bleeding and cramping should be slight. In contrast, another possible early symptom of pregnancy is a white, milky vaginal discharge. This can be attributed to the thickening of the vaginal walls. This begins shortly after conception, due to the increased growth of cells lining this part of the body. While this symptom is usually harmless, if it?s accompanied by an odor or burning or itching sensation, it should be checked by a doctor to ensure no infection is present.
