Music can be the soundtrack to our lives. Hearing a tune randomly can take you back in an instant to a time or place. Whether you want to bring songs that already mean something to you into your wedding ceremony or pick new tracks to evoke those special memories, I am here to assist today.
We had no music at our actual ceremony as we were in the middle of the woods, but we had a play list in the car. Now when I hear those songs they transport me to that happy special day. It took us a fair while to search and choose which songs to include which is why I wanted to write a feature to compile real songs chosen by couples featured on this very blog. Sit down with your betrothed and listen away, I have also linked to the wedding in which the song features if you fancy a nosy. I haven’t included any traditional hymns here, I may save those for another post. But think of these song ideas for first dances, walking down the aisle, during the signing of the register, on the exit or even as alternative sing alongs for your guests. Anything really does go. Of course be sure to speak with your officiant to ensure they fit legally into your ceremony too.
