A beach wedding in Punta Mita with a subtly chic tropical theme
After meeting in June of 2020 and dating for 2 years, this couple got engaged at the Mansion Hotel in Dallas, Texas. It was a particularly special location for the bride because that was where her father had proposed to her mother, who passed away when the bride was 17. After the proposal, their families were waiting inside with champagne. A ?surprise? party with all their friends and family was also held afterward. About a year later, the couple hosted their 130-person destination wedding in Punta Mita thanks to the help of Amy Abott Events. Researching the perfect resort venue
The bride had always wanted to do a destination wedding, especially on a beach in Mexico. Once they chose the location of Punta Mita, they narrowed it down to a few different venues. They went back and forth until their wedding planner/team, Amy Abott, told them about a new Auberge resort opening at the end of October 2022: Susurros del Corazón. After booking flights to tour the space the first weekend of November, they fell in love immediately with the “homey” welcome of the resort staff and wedding coordinating team, as well as the resort’s intimate, luxurious, and fun vibe. Ultimately, they were the first wedding at the resort!
