Derek and Alyssa met through mutual friends while attending a bonfire where Derek pursued Alyssa most of the night in hopes of getting a date. Five years later – after many dates! – Derek and Alyssa were on their annual trip to Lake Tahoe where Derek proposed at Baldwin Beach. She accepted with an overwhelming yes! From the beginning of wedding planning, Alyssa knew she wanted pink, ivory, and beautiful greenery with accents of gold to compliment the breathtaking Spanish Mediterranean aesthetic of Villa Montalvo. Bride Alyssa remembers clipping ball gown wedding dresses out of magazines as a little girl, so naturally she had a love for anything timeless and tulle. After trying on many dresses within the local area, she was not having much luck. Thankfully, she called one of her closest friends who recommended Novella Bridal in San Francisco.
