A Ceremony Site (and the Explanations That Need Accompany It)

Chicago Catholic Wedding Ceremony
Happily, the location for our ceremony was an easy choice. Along with the fact that Benjamin and I are both religion teachers at Catholic schools, we are regular mass-goers and we met studying theology in Boston—so it only made sense that we would pursue a full Catholic wedding ceremony and mass.
We are in the suburbs now, but we lived in Chicago proper for three years and attended this lovely, lovely parish:

I was very involved at Saint Clement while I lived in the city and got to know one of the priests quite well, so we knew we wanted to hold our ceremony there. Also, it’s located in the vibrant Lincoln Park neighborhood, which for our out-of-town guests will be a perk. Finally, the interior is so delightful that we don’t feel like flowers or other adornments are necessary (which is lucky, as the church itself has quite a few restrictions on what can be used anyway).
