Couple Meet in Graduate School
A long, long time ago (2010) in a faraway land (Boston), a girl and her roommate were on their way to a welcome dinner for their new graduate program. They noticed two guys walking maybe 20 feet behind them and recognized them from said program. Realizing that it would be super awkward to walk slightly ahead of them the whole time, the girl sighed and turned around, prepared to suffer through small talk the entire way there.
What’s this" One of the boys also hails from southern California" Ah, how the dating scene sucks out there (actual topic of conversation)! They ended up sitting next to each other at the dinner table. The girl had plans with friends that fell through right as the meal was concluding (#FATE), so she rallied the table to go out on the town. The guy was definitely in.
Different night, different pub, but this pic just cracks me up.
A fun night ensued at the local pub, though the girl didn’t think it would go anywhere. Upon further reflection, however (largely due to creeping him online), she found she was indeed interested. Six weeks later, it was Facebook Official.
