A Midsummer Night?s Dreamcatcher: When I First Saw You

Ah, to first look or not to first look, that is the question. Plenty of other bees before me have weighed the pros and cons of doing one, and inevitably the question comes up on the Weddingbee boards all the time. The Dreamcatchers didn?t feel very strongly in either direction, and after carefully weighing our options, decided it would be a good fit for us.
Our reasons were pretty typical. It allowed more time for pictures, which was a huge priority for me. (We got SO many amazing photos—this really paid off!) We figured it would help calm both of our nerves if we could be together for a hot second before having 160 people staring at us. (We were absolutely right on this aspect!) Finally, we figured the moment would be a little more genuine since we?d be able to hug and chat, instead of having to stand rigidly in front of our officiant and guests. (Right again!) Ultimately, doing a first look was one of the best decisions we made for the day.
Like I said in my last post, we were running a tiny bit behind schedule, and I was starting to feel the nerves. I have never wanted so desperately to see Mr. Dreamcatcher in my whole life. I headed downstairs with our photographers/videographers, and they went outside to find the best location. That gave me a couple minutes alone where I think it finally hit me.
