“I?d be honoured if you’d be my brother-in-law??. those are the words my brother said to his college roommate Asaph back before Asaph and I had even met. Asaph later told me that when we did meet he decide right then that ?yeah? I?m going for this one.? It may have taken me 5 more years to get on board with his master plan, but when you have someone like Asaph pursuing you, your heart just won?t let you say no. Defying the odds of long distance love, the countless flights from LA to Toronto didn?t stop us from making it work. We eventually decided to meet in the middle, making Nashville our home. When searching for on a venue, Asaph discovered a new boutique hotel that was opening in Nashville. The venue instantly gave us the feeling of being in a ballroom in Paris, or a European-style loft in NYC. I didn?t want to distract from the natural beauty of the room, but wanted to respect it?s character and tastefully enhance it. On our wedding day, the space came alive with romantically wild, foraged greenery and florals to contrast the rooms elegant and winsome allure. The floral arch that had been customized for the space took our breath away.
