A Preliminary Taste of Feather Pie: Our Wedding by the Numbers

I love looking at guest list breakdowns. Maybe it?s because I love pie charts (mmmm, pie?), or maybe it?s because it?s interesting to see a couple?s choices broken down numerically.
It?s still early days for the Feather guest list, but here are some preliminary numbers and charts for you to ogle.
Our list ended up being a pretty even split between family and friends:Â 51% family and 49% friends. I counted a friend as ?mine? or ?Mr. Feather’s? depending on who they knew first, even if I consider them both of our friends today.
Between the two of us, I invited 51% of our guests and Mr. Feather invited 49%. Mr. Feather?s big family/small friend list and my small family/big friend list ended up evening out nicely without us even trying.

Our guests hail from three countries and 13 states, with most guests clustered in Texas and along the mid-Atlantic coast from Virginia to Connecticut. Pretty cool to see it all laid out on a map, isn?t it"
The longest distance a guest will have to travel is 5,242 miles; my friend and her husband live in Zurich and will be coming from there. The shortest distance a guest will have to travel is less than a mile from our ceremony venue; Best Man A and his wife live the closest.
