A print maker’s thoughtful DIY fall wedding in The Finger Lakes… with kilts!
Elizabeth tells it, My husband Graham and I are both artists and printmakers (I own an online fine art print business, Print Club ltd.) so we took great joy in creating many of the printed materials for the event including doing the letterpress printing for the invitations and silkscreen printing some of my hand-drawn designs onto all of the tablecloths. Graham?s McDougal family tartan had quite a punchy, warm red base so we went with a vibrant orange for many details and blue from the Scottish thistle that was also in my bouquet.

The deets: Amy and Brandon Phillips (founders of Miles + May Furniture Works) have been long-time friends of ours and we have visited them at the Cracker Factory building (which houses their furniture workshop and their own apartment) many times. They had always made their gorgeous second floor space available for concerts, exhibitions and functions but a few years ago they started hosting weddings and it has become an enormously popular venue. When Graham and I became engaged it turned out that we had both independently thought that it would be where we would want to marry when that time came and so it just became a matter of finding a date that Amy and Brandon could host us.
