Colorful weddings are our jam, so when we saw one with a “maximalist disco” theme we knew we had to see more. Sarah and Gian got ready at the ACE Los Angeles?she in a sparkly silver gown and he rocking rust-orange and black?before heading to the Millwick Marvimon for their vibrant ceremony and reception. The pros at Feathered Arrow Events and Inessa Nichols Design made sure it was just as tropical and nontraditional as they’d hoped. The bride says,?Tropical disco? was one of the original descriptors I had for our wedding vision when we first talked to our wedding planner, Kari. I also love maximalist design, so I knew I wanted the decor to be really bright and in-your-face. We also really wanted the whole day to be more like a big party than a traditional wedding, so that drove a lot of the bold color choices and sparkly accents.
Incorporating gerbera daisies, roses, and disco balls in a ceremony arch is no small feat, but Inessa Nichols mix and matched each element to perfection.
