A vintage Italy wedding in gold and pink
Highschool sweethearts Martina and Valerio tied the knot at this charming villa near Lucca, in Tuscany. They had gotten engaged in Paris the year before, so the Eiffel tower played an important role in their wedding decorations. The bride says she had a clear vision of how their wedding was going to be from the beginning, and there were lots of personal + handmade details reflecting the couple’s style. The couple designed the entire affair themselves, supported by the coordination of Con le ballerine verdi. From the bride: “When we started our wedding planning, the first thing we decided on was the color scheme of pink and gold. My engagement ring is rose gold with a soft pink gemstone, called French Rose, and we absolutely love this color combination! Then we picked the flowers we most love – peonies and English roses. With these two things as a starting point, we elaborated the entire design concept. “
About the venue: “We wanted a villa near our home (we live in a little town called Montaione, near Florence and 30km from Lucca), but not the classic Tuscany farm house, because we live in a place like that. So when we saw Villa Grabau in Lucca we fell in love, especially with the Italian and English garden and with the Limonaia, an old greenhouse with plants that hang from the ceiling.
