High School Sweetheart Relationship Story
May is kind of a special month for the Dreamcatchers! Not only is our engage-iversary this month, so is our actual dating anniversary. And this is a big one—on May 28th it will officially be 10 years since the first time we said, ?I love you.? We count this as our anniversary since it marks when we became ?official.? As official as two silly high schoolers can be, anyway. I thought this would be a fun time to go through a ?Dreamcatchers, then and now? kind of post.

This picture (taken on a flip phone, holla!) was taken on what I consider our first date. The town we grew up in was having a celebration, and after Mr. Dreamcatcher played with a local marching band, we grabbed some food and took a walk in a nearby park. Adorable, right" As you can probably guess, our relationship has grown and changed a lot in the last 10 years. It started out as most high school relationships do, full of butterflies, late night phone conversations (on landlines!), silly romantic gestures, and plenty of laughter. Everything is new and exciting when you?re 15 and in love! I fell for Mr. Dreamcatcher for the same reasons most teenagers like someone…he was sweet, smart, funny, and pretty darn cute. ?
