Because COVID has affected the wedding industry in so many ways, they also wanted to inspire couples with unique ideas around safety. Planning a small wedding during a pandemic is no small feat, so they conveyed mindful ideas and creative safety details for couples. We wanted to incorporate as many sustainable pieces into our design as possible, showing modern-day couples how to invest in their day with recyclable decor items.Â
Being in California, we are constantly reminded of our impact on this Earth and we wanted to be mindful of that. We made use of drought-resistant plants, local California foliage + flowers, and used as many potted plants (that can be used and reused again and again) as possible. Ji, with JK Design Cal, used vegan leather for the invitation suite and signage.
We referred to this shoot as ?Modern Desert Chic?? pulling elements from the desert with modern touches. We wanted it to feel natural and from the Earth? colors, prints, ...
