We?ve always been big fans of the sailboat elopement, but a wedding in Greece with a sailboat covered in bright pink bougainvillea" That’s above and beyond. Stefanie and Sergio chose Spetses for their wedding destination as a nod to his own work with antique boats?but they didn?t actually plan to have a sailboat involved until COVID shifted their plans. Faced with the decision to redirect or cancel, they worked with Only For You Events to transform their plans from big, extravagant fête to a gorgeous micro wedding on the water. The ceremony took place on the pier with woven baskets overflowing with flowers in place of an arch. As soon as they said I do, they all boarded the sailboat for a cruise party across the Argolic Gulf.
As difficult as the process of redirecting wedding plans is, the challenge of COVID actually helped Stefanie and Sergio zero in on intimate connections, as they had to slow down and carefully choose which plans to move ahead with, and which to leave behind. Luckily, they were able to keep lots of pretty deets!

Although Greece went out of lockdown relatively quickly, Stephanie and Sergio still wanted to take every measure to heart and make their wedding as safe as possible for their company, while being able to celebrate uninterrupted.
