My fiancé called our wedding off, and I?m absolutely devastated. We?ve been engaged for four months, and I wanted to take some time over our Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks to really start planning some details out. Our relationship seemed fine to me; while we?re both crazy busy with work, we?d still found time to fall into a normal routine, so it came as a bit of a shock that after we?d spent our Thanksgiving split between my family and his (we all live relatively close to each other), he woke up Friday morning after Thanksgiving saying that he wanted to talk to me. Long story short, he basically told me that while he thought I was a good person, he felt pressured by everyone (including me) to progress to the next step of our relationship (marriage) while he doesn?t feel ready. In fact, he says that he doesn?t really want to be in a relationship at all, but there never seemed to be a natural ?out? for him (we don?t really fight) so it became ?harder and harder for him to find a time to pump the brakes.?
