I need some help in figuring out what to do. I recently discovered my fiance has a drinking problem. I have confronted him multiple times and he does not see it as being as big of a problem as I do. I offered to assist him in getting the help he needs if it is something that he cannot get under control on his own. Again, he does not see this as being a problem and said it would stop. Well, it hasn’t.

I have came across situations that prove to me that it has not stopped. I have told him that I will not start a life with somebody that is an alcoholic. I just can’t; I know too many people that have been in these situations and it ends up only hurting them in the long run. Also, we have absolutely no communication skills in our relationship to work through this like adults.
Obviously there is much more to the relationship problems before the drinking, which is why I am having second thoughts on going through with it.
