Bargain Wedding Shoes: A Cautionary Tale
Who isn?t a fan of a good deal" This is a story of a good deal gone somewhat wrong. I hope, at the very least, you get a bit of a chuckle out of it.
I, like most yuppies, love my shoes and became enchanted by the idea of finding the perfect pair of shoes for the wedding. As I?m 5’5" and Mr. Horseshoe is 6’3", I knew I wanted a shoe with a bit of a heel to cover the wee bit of a height difference we have.
I fell in love with a pair of shoes I spotted when Mr. Horseshoe and I first got engaged. I was instantly hooked to these beautiful Badgley Mischka pumps with crystal bows.

They had unfortunately been discontinued by the time I started shoe shopping in earnest. Kate Spade makes a similar shoe (the Marra heel), but they were only available online and the USD to CAD exchange rate had me saying no to this alternative. (Psst. I recently spotted these Kate Spade beauties at Nordstrom Rack while in the US if anyone in the hive wants to get their hands on them?)

Some early favourites were sparkly sandals with block heels, but none were exactly right. Too bad I found these beauties after our wedding?any takers"

As my search was coming up short and time was running out, I decided to check eBay on a whim. Happily, I found my Lemonades for ...
