Mr. Horseshoe and I truly ended up with the perfect number of guests at our wedding. Our venue minimum was 80 guests and…you guessed it?we had 80 guests attend our wedding. So our RSVP breakdown ended up being 89% of our invited guests attending. Whew!

We ended up inviting 90 of our closest friends and family to our wedding. The majority of our invited guests ended up being local. We had a handful of guests living in Edmonton, and a few from British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Ontario. We also had one guest situated down in California.
This wouldn?t be a proper by-the-numbers post without a pie chart! I read from a few sources that you should plan accordingly and expect up to 20% of your guests to decline their invitation. (Psst: Mrs. Squid posted a fantastic guest formula RSVP breakdown here!) We ended up resting on our laurels a bit here?we weren?t expecting too many declines since most of our guests were local. We did, however, realise a bit too late that we may have invited too few people given the 80 accept/20 decline rule of thumb. With fingers crossed, we counted down the days until our RSVP deadline (exactly a month before our wedding date).
