Great advice from the bride Rebeca:
Mike and I met on Tinder. My friends had finally convinced me that it would be fun, but I never really got the chance to try it out?he was my first and only Tinder date! The adage really is true, when you know, you know… and we both knew on our first date.
Our wedding wasn’t inspired by anything super tangible like a book, a movie, or an era. It was more a reflection of who we are, what we like, and our tastes?so between the vaguely vintage visuals and our 1990’s DJ set. I guess it was a little eclectic. One of the first things I did was try on gowns. Â I was able to narrow it down to two – a very classic, very major Vera Wang ballgown with a corseted bodice and full skirt; and the dress I ultimately chose by Jenny Packham. A wise friend of mine helped me make the decision by saying she thought both were equally beautiful, but that the ballgown was more formal than I am as a person (and than we are as a couple) and she was right. Keeping that advice in mind (do we feel like we have to do this because it’s a wedding, or do we actually really love this) really helped guide us through so many decisions, from our flowers to our cake. Ultimately the finished product really felt true to who we are...
