If you’re dreaming of balmy summer days, blissfully retreating to the warm countryside and marrying the love of your life, you are certainly in the right place today. We are thrilled to be sharing the divine nuptials of Banu and Ugur, which were held on the 21st May 2016 in the rolling countryside of Umbria, Italy.
The couple decided to brake away from hosting a traditional large Turkish wedding and opted for a paired back, simple, intimate day held in the Nikis Resort. It was all so very elegant, think whimsical greenery filled florals, an embellished Jenny Packham gown and alfresco dining to name a few. In fact the open air reception looked so idyllic, with scenic views and festoon lights draped from the trees twinkling as the sun set. I also love the calligraphy wooden signs with the loveliest indication of a relaxed, no formal seating plan, setting the atmosphere and tone to the celebrations that lay ahead. THE PROPOSAL | Banu and Ugur met one year before the wedding, they fell in love immediately and decided to get married.
THE VISION | Jumping the family Turkish traditions, which are used to have huge weddings of a minimum of 300 guests, they chose to have a marriage only with intimate family and friends in the centre of Italy, close to Gubbio, a small town of Umbria.
