Bridal Hair Tips for High Foreheads

Everyone has something about their appearance that if a fairy popped out of nowhere and gave you the power to change one thing about yourself, you?d change in a heartbeat. For me, that one thing would be my high forehead.
Hiding my forehead (also known as my fivehead) has been my number one hair goal since I was in high school. I know that dwelling on the fact that my forehead is maybe two-tenths of an inch higher than most people?s is a petty thing to focus on. But when I think about how I?m going to look on my wedding day, I want that fivehead looking more like a fourhead. Or a threehead, unless that?s going too far.
Here are a couple tips I?ve learned over the years for how to use my hair to draw the attention away from my forehead.

This isn?t the best photo for showing the back of the updo I rocked for friend W?s wedding, but it does a perfect job of showing my first lesson for big foreheaded brides: frame your face as much as possible. That little strand of hair hanging loose might not look like much, but I felt it helped make my face look narrower and my forehead slightly less huge.
2. Part your hair on the side and sweep it down in front.

I loved the side part and low bun that I wore for Best Man B?s wedding last August. The hairstylist the bride hired was very talented, and I couldn?t stop looking at myself like Narcissus gazing in that damn puddle. I should add that this was a mostly out...
