Bridal Style: ‘Luscious Restraints’ – The 2017 Bridal Collection from Jessica Choay
Today we have the stunning new collection from Jessica Choay to share with you. With beautiful lace and peek-a-boo styling these gowns are both delicate but bold and daring. I love the eyelash lace and plunging necklines and combined with 70s silhouettes these dresses are something a bit different. Perfect for the Modern bride with a Bohemian twist.
Elements of floating fabrics and transparencies thread both through the ready-to-wear collection and the lingerie capsule lines, in a constant game of hide and show.
More about the collection
The collection has been inspired by bondage but mostly by how sensual the woman body is when it?s enlaced. As in previous collections, we like to play the game of hide and show with transparencies and cuts, we combine different types of silks and create contrasts with shiny and matte. I tried to explore all kinds of ?restraints? through different cuts and fabrics : wider, smaller, stripes, lace motif, around the body. These restraints are here to empower the woman who will wear the dress, and therefore, they have to be ?luscious? as in delicate, soft, shiny.
The main influence behind the collection is sensuality. This time, sensuality brought by the feeling to be enlaced, and seen enlaced. Of course inspiration comes from a lot of things, such as music, places and people. I guess I am always looking for sensuality, in all its forms, and I try to express it into new designs each season.
