Pearl Strand Necklace for Bride
This will be one of the last posts before I start my recaps of the wedding week! I’m excited to move into showing you our wedding and how everything ended up coming together.
One of the last things I decided on was my accessories. I literally changed my mind half a dozen times on what exactly I wanted to wear with my dress. The color made it difficult to pick between silver and gold, and I just had really no idea. I knew I wanted a big necklace—mostly to help with coverage, since I wasn’t exactly 100% comfortable with the strapless dress, but also because I wanted something kind of eye catching in my look. I had decided on a statement necklace of sorts way back when I bought my dress. And then came the actually finding of the necklace! At first, I was going to wear a necklace made for me by a friend who makes jewelry, but it was too blue beside the champagne of my dress. I loved it, but it was the wrong color.

The champagne reacting with the blue made me think gold would be the best option, so I went and looked everywhere for a bigger, gold necklace. I thought prom season would have a better selection, but I couldn’t really find anything. I found this pearl and rhinestone one that I thought would work well, but I tried it on with my dress and it was the wrong color again! The gold didn’t work with my dress either!
