In my last post, I told you all about our wedding invitations that our lovely friend Carina is designing for us. She?s crafted some gorgeous hand-painted, completely bespoke stationary for us and we could not be happier with the final outcome.
It?s something I?ll definitely blog about in full in the future, but I want our guests to get the first peek!
Since we got the first draft in our hands, Carina actually got engaged herself (!!!) so we?ve been busy going to wedding fayre?s and chatting all things bridal. It?s so nice to have someone to talk to about these things who is actually in the same position as me, and to get excited over fairy lights and bunting and love light letters (and to freak out about the price of things, obvs).
The first wedding fayre we went to together was a bit of a flop. When Rob and I first got engaged, we went to a few and decided it was where the people that don?t have Pinterest go. However, there was one wedding fayre in particular that I really wanted to visit, and that was the Pop Up Wedding Village at Calke Abbey. Hosted by Save the Date Magazine and wedding extrodinaire?s Honeysuckle & Castle, it?s a festival inspired wedding event with a lovely mix of wedding suppliers.
Upon our arrival, the first thing we spotted was the giant tipi, by Peaktipi?s, that had a whole host of other suppliers inside. There?s such a relaxed atmosphere, with outdoor garden games, and lots of lovely food and drinks vendors with samples to try.
