Cheers! The Horseshoe Corkage Guide

Wedding Alcohol Guide
Let?s chat about corkage while we?re on the ?be our guest? theme. Having an open bar was a priority for us, and we figured corkage (us supplying all of the liquor for our wedding) was the best and cheapest way to do this. The challenge in doing this" Figuring out how much alcohol we needed to buy. You want to buy more than you need so that you don?t run out, but you also don?t want to haul a bunch of alcohol back home at the end of your wedding?so we needed a wedding alcohol guide to help us figure out how much to purchase.

The first step: trying to figure out how much your guests will drink.
We wanted to have a toast after our ceremony, wine with dinner, and an open bar throughout the evening with wine, beer, and standard spirits. Bourbon, rye, gin, and vodka seem to be the standards here, at least among our friends—I?m sure this varies. We decided that, on average, each of our 80 guests would drink the following between 5:00 PM and 1:00 AM:
1 glass of Prosecco for the toast
1 glass of white wine
2 glasses of red wine
4 mixed drinks
2.5 beers (averaging 2–3 beers per guest)
The numbers might seem low at a first glance, but we knew that not all of our guests would be drinking. We also knew that not all of them would close out our wedding.
We calculated the following for our wedding alcohol guide:

Drinks per guest
ml/oz per guest
