Chicas de Mayo: A Vibrant Celebration for the Girls!
Who else is looking forward to kicking off the weekend with Cinco de Mayo this Friday"! We’re all for celebrating with a little TNT (tacos n’ tequila!) and here’s a quick history lesson just in case you don’t know why folks love to pull out the guac on the 5th of May: in 1862, Mexico defeated French forces in the Battle of Puebla, boosting morale in an unlikely victory against a well-equipped army. In the years since, Cinco de Mayo has become a celebration of Mexican-American culture in the US, with parades + gatherings that almost always include dancing, food, and drinks. Sign us up!
