Clothes Doth Maketh the (Wo)Man: Choosing the Bridesmaids’ Dresses, Act 1

I know I?ve bragged a little bit before on how awesome my wedding party is. But bees, I had no idea they are honest to God CHAMPIONS. You see, our bridesmaids’ dresses came in this week. How exciting, right"!" Well, it was until we realized three out of the five we received are at least one or two sizes too small. But before we get knee deep in that story, let?s start from the beginning.
There are lots of gorgeous mismatched options out there, but personally I?ve always been partial to the traditional matching bridesmaids’ dresses. Other than matching, I didn?t have a strong opinion about what exactly the dresses should look like. After asking each of the girls individually what they were comfortable with, I came up with a few constraints. Most importantly, under $200. Definitely short, since the wedding is in summer. No strapless, so my girls can wear a bra with straps if they like. And somewhere in the turquoise or coral color spectrum. Due to schedules, locations, and the general hectic lives we all live, it wasn?t possible to get everyone together for one big trip. So over a couple months, we made adventures when we could. Bridesmaid Ravenclaw and I started at the oh so popular David?s Bridal. We went early on a Saturday before it got too busy and had a really fun time! We found some potential winners, some definite losers, and lots in between.
Personal Photos / First two were the faves!
I wasn?t quite feeling any of the colors at David?s Bridal,...
