Clothes Doth Maketh the (Wo)Man: Choosing the Bridesmaids? Dresses, Act 2

When we last left off, I had six bridesmaids, five dresses, and only two out of five of them were the correct size. After choosing the dress, the obvious next step is ordering them. As I?ve mentioned, my ladies are pretty spread out geographically. Since we didn?t go with a chain that has locations everywhere, this became a bit of a challenge. I told them where they bought the dress was completely up to them, but I wanted to give them options in case they didn?t feel like doing research of their own. I called around to a few salons in NYC and my hometown, near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, hoping to find the best price. A really small boutique beat everyone else?s prices by $30 to $60, so five out of six of the girls decided to order through there. (Bridesmaid Source4 is three time zones away and thought it best to handle it herself.) The girls gave me their measurements, I passed them to the boutique, and we waited.

Four months, two weeks, and five days later they finally arrive. (Not that I was counting.) The dresses get picked up…and then chaos breaks lose. I know lots of you lovely bees have spread out bridesmaids, so here?s what happened to me, and how I hope you can prevent it.
Problem #1: The bags were labeled incorrectly. My gorgeous bridesmaids are a vast range of sizes, so this mixup caused some minor panic when one girl received a dress that was over 10 sizes too small. It was an easily avoided panic, had I been thorough.
