Colorful California Barn Wedding at The Dana-Powers House
Lindsey and Kyle said “I do” at the Dana-Powers House, which was built in 1882 and sits on the historic 37,888-acre Rancho Nipomo in San Luis Obispo County, California. The couple wanted their wedding to be a super fun and relaxed party with all of their family and close friends. They knew that the ceremony would be the most important and meaningful part of the day, even though they also wanted an epic dance party at the reception afterwards. Every moment of their colorful barn wedding was captured on camera by Morgan Ashley Photography, starting with a memorable first look on the cliffs near Shell Beach.

The wedding day itself absolutely flew by! It was amazing and so much fun, but definitely overwhelming trying to greet so many people while also processing many emotions. Remember to take a moment at some point (or multiple moments) to slow down and just observe all that is happening. Let the moment sink into your heart and take a few deep breaths as you enjoy your special day.
We decided to have our first look down on the cliffs near Shell Beach. I was so excited to see him, and I still remember the look on his face when I walked up behind him and he turned around to see me in my dress for the first time. It felt like a very peaceful, calm and special moment as we got to focus on each other and listen to the waves crash on the shore.
We put a lot of thought ...
