Wedding Regrets
Hive, this month marks the Horseshoe?s two month wedding anniversary. Recaps are coming, I promise. Truth be told, I?ve been dragging my heels on putting together my recaps because?there are things I regret about our wedding.
I feel extremely sheepish for admitting that I have wedding regrets. As much as I?d like to shrug my shoulders and say ?Eh, it?s all water under the bridge!? there are a few things about our wedding that still bug me—things that really stand out to me in our photos.
A lot of us are told that our wedding day will be the best day of our lives—talk about pressure. We want to get things right. We invest a lot of time, effort, and capital into our weddings. No wonder we feel let down when things don?t go as planned. I didn?t expect every aspect of our wedding to be perfect. Really, the fact is that we had a very fun day. We got married! We were flying. Yet as much as I?ve been trying to focus on the positive and the fact that we are married, the imperfections have been gnawing away at me.
I will say that a positive outcome has been the thrust of the lessons that I?ve learned—ones that I?d like to share with you.
1. Try to view venues through the eyes of your photographer when you?re booking your venue. Our venue is great when you?re standing in it.
