Are you looking to have a clever way to distinguish the chairs of the wedding party from those of general guests" Try out customizable chalkboard chair signs. This project may be a bit more time-consuming, but it is economical in the highest.
Supplies:

Chalkboard Paint
Poster Board
Hot Glue Gun
Beads
Craft knife
Cutting Board

Step 1: Apply an even coat of chalkboard paint to one side of your poster board.
DISCLAIMER: If you are using spray paint (as I did), you need to use proper safety precautions. Read the directions carefully and only use in a well-ventilated area. Such as outside.
DISCLAIMER 2: This takes 24 hours to dry, and it will be slightly odorous. I clipped the poster board to the clothesline and left it overnight. Step 2: Cut the poster board into your preferred dimensions with a craft knife. Avoid scissors if possible because they will crush the poster board and leave jagged, unsightly edges (trust me).

Step 3: Use your glue gun to apply the beads (or whatever accoutrements you desire) onto the border of your sign.

Step 4: Apply yarn to the outer edges of the chalkboard. You can also use yarn (as pictured) as the means to hang your sign from the chair.
And you?re done! Now you have a unique and cost-effective (and dare I say adorable") sign to hang on each of your honored guests chairs. You can make them all match, or coordinate them to your guests favorite colors/styles and give them as presents after the reception.
