It’s Thursday again (I swear time is going exceptionally quick since I started to plan a wedding"!) and I’m back with another planning update, this time about the DIY bits I’m working on, which Pinterest, as for most Brides these days, has a played a big part in.
We didn’t really set out to have a ‘DIY wedding’ in particular, it just made sense to make whatever I could and save some money, rather than buying everything in. I’ve still bought some decor bits such as the hanging details and the top table backdrop (sorry, I don’t want to give too much away just in case any of our guests are reading this..!). I had originally planned to make the hanging back drop myself. I bought fabric and wool from a local haberdashery and have already finished over half of it…then I found something else I much preferred (and just *had* to get it). I’m planning on using the back drop I’ve already made somewhere else now though, maybe as the back drop to our DIY photo booth. And for this I think we’ll just put the camera we have on a tripod and let guests do their worst…it’s probably a terrible idea but I’ll be taking a few tips from this pretty helpful blog post on how to create a fool proof photo booth, so here’s hoping… Other DIY bits include all of my wedding stationary as I’ve mentioned in a previous post.
