Pre Wedding Prep
We finally have all our photos and all of the videos, and I’m so excited to start our recaps! I really love how our wedding turned out, and sharing it with you is something I’ve looked forward to since I started blogging.
I want to start by talking a bit about the week of the wedding. It was so exciting having our family and friends from all over start coming in. Each day I was at the airport picking people up, and I loved it. Since I moved to North Dakota, I’ve had limited visits from family members; we’re just far enough away for it to be too long for a weekend drive, but it’s not quite a location people would use a week for. Having them all come in and see the city we’ve called home for the last five years was nice. I especially loved finally having my mom here. Wedding planning with her on speed dial was great, and I knew I could always call her and ask for her opinions (who else would respond to whether I should use navy blue or royal blue and not mock me too badly"), but having her here for the last bit was so important to me. She was able to keep me calm and level headed, and gave me someone else to point people to when they asked questions. She knew Minot (kind of) and was able to help me out, and just having her to have a beer with at the end of the night each day that week was so nice.
