Wedding Rehearsal & Groom’s Cake with Cats
Sorry for the long delay in posting our recaps. Life got busy! I plan on finishing these in the next few weeks, and I’m so excited to share it all with you.
We left off with everyone arriving the week of the wedding. It was so fun having our family and friends arrive to our home. While North Dakota really wasn’t the top destination wedding location, I love that we got to show our home to people. That was the biggest reason to keeping it in Nodak, and I’m so glad we did.
The morning before the wedding was hectic to say the least! We had the set-up in the reception hall in the morning, and the wedding rehearsal in the afternoon, followed by the dinner! It was snowing and slushy, so I knew it was going to be a wet occasion, but everyone worked really hard to get it all done quickly. I had already spent the weekend before arranging all of our decor in boxes where it needed to be, so we got my truck loaded up quickly, and then I bossed everyone around while we set up. I loved seeing my vision slowly coming together—I was going for a sparkly, colorful event, and as it all went up, I couldn’t stop smiling. There were some things I didn’t 100% like but decided not to argue about, like the placement of my LOVE sign that I had made.
