Between the deep red and shimmery gold hues and the family-style Thanksgiving meal, Alysha and Trevor’s Manitoba wedding has us beyond ready for the cozy days of winter! Rather than focus on a particular vibe, the couple chose to create an intimate atmosphere at The Rustic Wedding Barn, filled with close friends and family, amazing food, and live music. The bride’s classic white ballgown from Modern Trousseau Nashville had a fairytale-like quality that we absolutely love! Our favorite moment might just be when the groom presented his bride with a red rose at the reception – our Bachelor-loving hearts swooned a bit! Ariana Tennyson Photography did a beautiful job capturing all of the romantic and elegant moments of this wedding. To personalize the ceremony, we had a close family friend – who used to be our pastor – marry us. We also wrote our own personalized vows and had the bride’s siblings sing 2 songs throughout the ceremony. We also included our adorable little puppy as our ring bearer!

We served a Thanksgiving family-style meal, all of which was gluten and lactose free. The menu consisted of: cauliflower and kale soup, apple fennel salad with poppyseed dressing, stuffed pork loin with fig and roasted onion, rhubarb chicken, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, and roasted beets/carrots/broccoli.
