The Duke Mansion‘s lush scenery was perfect for Arianne and Steven’s elegant garden wedding. With florals being so important to Arianne, she knew there was no one else for the job other than Kate Asire in creating the most whimsical, romantic bouquet. With the help of planning their wedding with Love and Honey Weddings, Arianne and Steven’s day was full of elegant details and personal touches. We exchanged some wedding vows that we wrote on these little precious vow books to each other. Since we got married through the Catholic Church, we weren’t going to have the chance to read our own, so we decided to write our own to each other instead. I’ll never forget what Steve wrote which pressed my “tears button” like no other: “We are meant to walk, love, and enjoy life on earth and in heaven together” ? I love that we’ll get to do just that. Thankfully I wasn’t wearing my make-up yet ? thank god for timing.
Our wedding was on May 20th in Charlotte (which is known to have high temperatures around that time) and I chose a wool tuxedo. Yes, wool. My tuxedo was from Bonobo and it was a great Burgundy textured color with silk lapels – just so sharp, I couldn’t pass it up.
