FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER | Everyone should have the chance to go to a wedding where the bride and the groom are both farmers. And then everyone needs the chance to see that bride and groom bring the community together for a celebration that is both a beautiful ceremony and enchanted reception.
For the ceremony, this bride and groom invited their family and friends to circle up around them as they said vows. The crowd of blessing surrounding the couple brought everyone together. This wedding was a wonderful, heartfelt event in the mountains. Even the sky gave them a stunning sunset.
The event had many personal DIY touches. The groom built the arch for their ceremony. Their party favours were customised water glasses with entwined carrots that guests could bring home. They built the dance floor themselves. They invited everyone to dance, because the planks were going to be installed as their new kitchen floor. What a grand way to make memories! Their guests added thumb prints to an art hanging for their home. A sweet piñata with their initials was by a table with slips of paper, where friends and family could write advice, jokes, and memories for the couple to read on their first anniversary (after great fun breaking the piñata).
Their food, oh my, the food was local and healthy and delicious. The barbecue caterers arrived before sunup to smoke pork. Friends pickled veggies and created signature beer flavours. From handmade cheese to potato salad using...
