Engagement Card Garland

When my fiancé and I got engaged, we received two separate cards from his mother alone, and between all of our assorted relatives, students, and supervisors, we found ourselves surrounded by quite the little collection of congratulatory stationary.
I didn?t want to throw them out or banish them to a scrapbook (at least not yet) but I didn?t want to keep knocking them over or accidentally dropping them on the floor either. The pretty flowers on the card I received from my college roommate, however, gave me an idea. Read on to see how you can give your engagement cards a permanent (and pretty!) home.
Supplies:
Engagement cards (obviously)
Approximately 3 yards of yarn, string, or thin ribbon
Large tapestry needle
Scissors
Additional wide ribbon in a color of your choice Assorted tissue paper flowers
Step 1: First up, lay out all of your cards in a line on the floor or a large table to make sure you?re happy with the arrangement. If some are larger than others or have similar colors, you may want to space them out to ensure that your final product doesn?t look lopsided. Once you?re happy with the arrangement, use a large tapestry needle or a pair of scissors to create a small hole in the top corners of each card. Hold the card in a ?closed? position to ensure that you go through both the front and back of each card at the same time.
Step 2: Once you?ve created your holes, it is time to ?thread? your cards. Insert your needle and thread (or yarn/ribbon/string in this case...
