Even though I had a really positive first-time-trying-on-dresses experience, I didn?t find anything I could see myself walking down the aisle in. There was still plenty of time, so I waited another five months before shopping again. Then I did something I would not recommend…going during a trunk show day. If you aren?t familiar, trunk shows are when a bridal shop has most of the collection from the featured designer in their store. Positives: They usually offer a 10–20% discount! Woohoo! Negatives: It was a MAD HOUSE. It seemed like there were hundreds of people in the tiny store. And they didn?t even have most of the dresses I actually wanted to try on. Bummer. My consultant was helping at least five other brides, so she wasn?t able to give me the individualized recommendations I was hoping for. Double bummer. I tried on around 10 dresses at this store and I?m sorry to report, bees…the pictures somehow disappeared" Honestly, I?m not actually sorry because I didn?t try on anything even worth showing. I couldn?t get most of them even halfway zipped anyway. This less than positive experience definitely wasn?t the consultant?s or even the store?s fault. It was mine for going at such a busy time. So bees, if you?re looking for lots of advice from a consultant, trunk shows are not the time to go. Oh, a quick side note for the shy bees before we go into MORE dresses. Taki...
