Ivory Wedding Heels
Summer is finally here in the Pacific Northwest. Our weekend hikes are mostly filled with sunshine and sunscreen, and we?ve been indulging in some weeknight patio happy hours and grill nights with our neighbors. All of this means that it?s almost time for my first dress fitting, which means I can?t put off buying shoes any longer.
I?m grateful that I figured out the color of my dress before I started buying accessories. So, the criteria: ivory heels; something I can safely walk on grass in, i.e., no stilettos; and silk/satin material to match the fabric of my dress.
First, I hit Nordstrom Rack, DSW, TJ Maxx, and Famous Footwear. I figured since it was prom season, I had a good chance of finding silk heels in every color of the rainbow. But no dice. Only Nordstrom Rack had ivory heels, coincidentally the very same Badgley Mischkas I?ve been coveting.

Goddamn I love these shoes, but my Badgley Mischka dreams sadly won?t be coming true. They?re way outside of my budget, and all my attempts at finding them used locally have failed. I can see why they?re the wedding shoe of choice for a lot of women: That simple design and bit of added sparkle is perfection.
