Flower Petal Clothespin Place Cards
When it comes to your wedding reception, place cards are extremely useful for seating your guests in an organized manner. They also provide another chance to emphasize your wedding’s theme, color palette, and overall vibe. Fortunately, you don’t have to spend a pretty penny for a batch of personalized place cards. With this DIY tutorial, you can use ordinary clothespins to create simple and sweet place cards. And since wooden clothespins are both easy to find and extremely affordable, you’ll save some serious cash on this project. To top it off, fancy crafting skills aren’t required for this project. This is as easy as it gets!
Supplies:
Clothespins
Paper or Fabric Flowers
Fake or Dried Real Leaves
Hot Glue Gun and Hot Glue Decorative Scissors
Scrap Paper
Marker(s)
The number of clothespins that you need will depend on the total number of guests. You can easily find wooden clothespins at the grocery or craft store. You might even have a stash of them in your own home.
The paper and fabric flowers may or may not have a wire stem. If your flowers do have stems, be sure to cut them off with pliers or scissors. This will create a flat backing, making them easier to glue down.
Step 1: Using the hot glue, adhere a single leaf to the flat side of a clothespin. Position the leaf at an angle to create a more natural look. Both dried and faux leaves work perfectly.
As always, watch your fingers when using a hot glue gun. The glue can get very hot.
