Groomsmen in Argyle Socks
Hiya, bees! I’m still waiting for all our pro photos before I start my recaps but have been assured by my photographer that we should receive them by the end of November. We have received a handful of “highlight” photos, but I wanted to wait until we received the full lot before starting recaps.
Until then, I wanted to share the gifts we got our groomsmen as Mr. Eel put a lot of thought and effort into deciding what to give them. Our first gift to our groomsmen were the suits they wore for the wedding. We ended up getting a really good deal on them ($150 each). We also gifted them their dress shirts, ties, and matching socks. I mentioned this previously, but for those of you who are joining my blogging journey now, it is customary in my area for the couple to pay for the wedding-party attire. It would have cost us just as much to rent suits, so we decided it was more economical to just purchase.
Like us, our groomsmen also like to drink, so we gifted each of them a personalized beer glass with their nickname and a bottle of their favorite whiskey. The glasses were left at their place settings, to be used at the reception. Their other gifts were given the night before the wedding.
