Golden hour farmhouse wedding inspiration
Happy Friday, friends! We’ve got such a lovely golden hour wedding shoot for you before we sign off for another winter weekend. Jesi of Flowerfolk Design was inspired by rolling prairies, golden light, and a rustic-meets-refined aesthetic for this wedding vignette on Whidbey Island in WA. Not only are the film photos by Anna Peters breathtaking, the whole scene really captures the essence of the vibe so many of our modern couples want to portray: laidback, romantic, and full of warmth.
From Jesi of Flowerfolk Design: For the table, I brought in a mix of earthy, tactile materials: fine linen, iron, beautiful wood fired ceramics from a local artist. These mingle with clean, crisp letterpress details, translucent glass, and hand-crafted beeswax candles. Inspiration for the florals was drawn straight from the landscape. We were in the midst of that long pause where summer is considering fall, but the temperatures really haven?t dropped yet. Everything was dry and golden.Â
I used lots of grasses and prairie flowers, like Rudbeckia, in bronze and burnished gold hues, accented with crisp white and my favorite Caramel Antike garden roses for softness. The whole table was very elemental. Everything was quality, and a pleasure to touch; the beeswax smelled amazing, like warm honey. It was easy to imagine the scene brought to life by guests, enjoying an intimate meal in the lingering light, making toasts, celebrating. The couple celebrating, sneaking off into the...
